"About a year ago my friend bought a 1936 Chevy p/u and had Gene build him a box for the bed of his truck. I bought a 1971 Chevy El Camino last Nov. I asked Gene to build me a box. I wanted the chevy bow-tie emblem design in the lid. After numerous e-mails and dimension changes Gene came up with this box.
"The colors were another matter. I wanted red with a lite color, white or silver setting off the woodgrain. Gene felt that it might turn pink. He suggested black and that turned out awesome with the solid black outline. I suspect at least 80hrs labor and about 3wks design revisions to complete this project. I get a lot of looks and praise for this addition to my truck. THANKS GENE excellent job."
